White goods collection is for the days when more than one appliance has to go. Line them up, send a photo of the lot and tell us where the property is. We reply by email with one fixed price that covers carrying, loading and disposal for everything in the picture. Two people come with a van, take the whole group in a single visit, and you pay that price once the last one is loaded.
Kitchen refits are the most common reason people call us for this. By then the fitter has usually disconnected the old units and pulled them out to make room, and they are waiting in the hallway, the garage or on the drive. That might be a washing machine, a built-in oven, a hob, an extractor hood and a dishwasher, all needing to leave before the new kitchen goes in. We take them as one job rather than five.
Landlords and letting agents use us between tenancies. A void property often has a tired cooker, a tumble dryer that has stopped heating and a washer dryer the last tenant left behind. If nobody can be there on the day, the key can be left with a neighbour, the letting agent or a concierge; just tell us who has it when you book. You get one collection, one price and a waste transfer note for your records if you ask.
Appliance Removal is an upper tier waste carrier registered with the Environment Agency, licence CBDU526130, and we can tell you where each appliance went. If you are weighing up a retailer's offer to take the old ones, our guide on whether retailers take old appliances away sets out what they usually do and do not cover. A gas or range cooker in the group is fine too, and the cooker and oven page explains what has to happen before we lift it.

One price for the whole group
Send one picture of every appliance that is going. The price we send covers all of them, and you pay once the van is loaded. If anything differs from the photo, we tell you before we lift.

How a white goods collection works
-
Line them up
Put the disconnected appliances together in a hallway, a garage or one room, then send a photo of the group. Add a line about the floor and the parking.
-
Get one price
We reply by email with a single fixed price for every appliance in the picture, covering the carrying, the loading and the disposal.
-
Pick a day
Choose a slot that suits you or whoever is holding the key. Same-day or next-day collection is offered wherever possible.
-
Pay when loaded
Two people carry each appliance out to the van. Once the last one is on board, you pay the price we quoted and nothing extra.
Why people use us
One visit, one figure
Grouping the appliances means one crew trip and one price for the lot, rather than a separate booking for each machine.
Licensed waste carrier
Upper tier licence CBDU526130, registered with the Environment Agency. Landlords and agents can ask for a waste transfer note for the property file.
Insured on any property
Public liability insurance up to £5 million and employers' liability of £10 million cover the crew while they work in your home or a let property.
Stripped and recycled
Each appliance goes to a licensed facility to be broken down into metal, plastic and glass. 90% of what we collect is recycled, and sound machines are passed on for reuse where possible.
Clearing several appliances in one go
With several appliances, the order they come out matters more than the weight of any one of them. The crew starts with whatever is nearest the door so the route stays clear, then works back through the group. A washing machine is usually the heaviest item because of the concrete counterweights bolted inside it, and two people carry it upright rather than dragging it. A range cooker is wide as well as heavy, so tell us which floor it is on and whether the hall is narrow. Glass hob tops and extractor chimney sections travel on their own so nothing gets cracked in the van.
Everything must be disconnected before the crew arrives, because we lift and carry but never disconnect. Washing machines, washer dryers and dishwashers need unplugging, the water off at the valves and the hoses and waste pipe removed; let them drain, leave a towel down for drips and prop the doors ajar. Tumble dryers need the vent hose off the wall, or the water container emptied on a condenser or heat pump model. A gas cooker must be disconnected and capped by a Gas Safe registered engineer, which is the law for gas work, and a hard-wired cooker or built-in oven needs a qualified electrician. If the fitter has not got to one of them yet, ask them to free it before our slot, since the crew will not unscrew or cut out fitted units.
After collection the appliances go to a licensed waste transfer station or treatment facility as waste electrical and electronic equipment. There they are stripped down: steel and other metals are recovered, motors and cables are taken out, and plastics and glass are separated for recycling. A machine that still works and is in good order may be passed on for reuse where possible. Ask for a waste transfer note and we can tell you where the load went, which landlords often want on file before the next tenancy starts.

White goods collection questions
Is it one price for several appliances?
Yes. Send a photo showing everything that is going and we reply with one fixed price for the whole group. That figure covers carrying, loading and disposal, and nothing is added on the day.
Our fitter has already pulled the old appliances out. Can you take them from the garage?
Yes, that is how most refit collections look. The fitter disconnects the old units and pulls them out, they wait in the garage or hallway, and we carry them from there to the van. It helps if there is a clear path from the pile to the door.
I am a landlord and will not be at the property. Can you still collect?
Yes. Leave the key with a neighbour, the letting agent or a concierge and tell us who has it when you book. Put the appliances somewhere easy to reach, such as the hallway or the kitchen floor, and make sure each one is already disconnected.
Do you disconnect the appliances for us?
No. The crew lifts, carries and loads, but does not unplumb, unwire or unfit anything. A gas cooker needs a Gas Safe registered engineer to disconnect and cap it, and a hard-wired cooker or built-in oven needs an electrician. Once everything is free, we take the lot.
Can you take an integrated dishwasher and a built-in oven together?
Yes, as long as both are already out of their cabinet slots. The crew will not unscrew housing units or cut through worktops. If the fitter has removed them, they go on the same price as the rest of the group.
What paperwork can I get for a void property?
We can give you a waste transfer note on request for everything we take away. Our upper tier waste carrier licence is CBDU526130, registered with the Environment Agency. We can also tell you where the appliances ended up.
